Not too long ago I read this quote on a site that I follow (A Muddled Mother). After reading the passage from "Bridges of Madison County" by Robert James Waller and then the post by Logan Beth Fisher I admittedly was a snotty nosed mess. Her post started me thinking about the person I was before marriage and children.
Don't mistake me, I wasn't looking at the former me in longing, but in remembrance. Remembering the things that made me happy, the things that made me feel fulfilled, the things that made me smile.
Somewhere along the way, I think I forgot to carve out a few minutes for me to just be me. Life was always centered around my roles as mother and wife. Roles that I cherish, but sometimes I just need to be Mardesia.
This month I decided to do something for me and I hope you will join me. In Celebration of National Scrapbooking Day and Month, Crafter's Boutique is launching a 31-day Challenge. During the Challenge we will create a Book of "You".
This challenge is intended as a prompt to spend some time each day remembering who we are as women (and men if you want to join). Each day I will post a series of questions or thoughts that hopefully will lead to some wonderful journaling. I will also provide a quickpage that you can use to create your page for the day.
There are no hard and fast rules with the challenge. You can choose to make your own pages with your own digital supplies. The point is just to create the pages in your "Book of You".
Throughout the challenge you will also have opportunities to win participation prizes. On random days I will be awarding gift certificates to challenge participants.
The Challenge begins on May 1st. Come back to this page each day and click on the corresponding image to get to the correct post.
RSVP by linking your scrapbook or craft blog below. You will not be added to a newsletter list. Your information will only be used to send one reminder about Crafter's Boutique's 31-Day Challenge.
